In July, to celebrate the Apollo 11 moon mission’s 50-year anniversary, the Smithsonian National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC commissioned the immersive projection show Apollo 50: Go for the Moon from 59 Productions, a London-based design studio and production company.
The show, which was projected onto the Washington Monument, set out to recreate this pivotal moment in history. Richard Slaney, Managing Director at 59 Productions, was interviewed by AVIXA to find out more about the project.
Hanane Abdalla, Industry Awareness Communications Manager at AVIXA wrote a terrific article detailing this celebration, the ‘large team of talented individuals who put their resources, heads, and hearts into the project’, the tech, and the mission.
Find out more, and see the interview with Richard Slaney in Hanane’s article here.
