After her first Formula 4 race, which took place in Malaysia in November 2018 (that’s right, her first ever), and her third appearance on The AV Life (a holiday show) – 16 year-old race driver Emily Linscott, from London, England, is ready for 2019 in more ways than one.

Convergent AV’s Creative/Strategic began working with Emily in 2018, especially at the time of the F4 race in Malaysia, and here is The AV Life episode she appeared on prior to the race: Formula 4 Racing, the 15-Year Old Driver, the AV CEO and the Home Designer Race Fan – the Next Discussion with Emily Linscott, #thereal99 (Emily was 15 at the time).

The following from Emily, on Twitter:

Mark Linscott, Emily’s father, detailed a bit of Emily’s 2019 year to come like this for us:

Emily is very keen on getting to race in the US, and the F4US/USF2000 (Road to Indy) is where she’d like to start off. The F4 series is definitely the one she needs to pursue first, with possible tests and races in the bigger, faster USF2000 series to help with her circuit knowledge for the F4 championship, as it has opportunities worldwide thereafter and it gives her “Super-licence” points which is what she’ll need to progress in to F1.

This from Stephen Alexander, who is a big fan of Emily’s:

When you watch Emily race, you can tell she is a driver. And a drivers’ driver. By that, I mean she is the sort of natural racer who another racer can compete with in confidence. She doesn’t do erratic manoeuvres – her style is clean and consistent – but she races hard and isn’t shy to get through the pack.

Emily has managed to capture what many with years of experience would be envious of; in that she has built up a communication of young and old to her brand, and all those associated to her through sponsorship. She tirelessly engages both in person and across social media from linking fans to her sponsors, promoting product ranges, and even arranging in-person events to encourage people into the the sport through karting events, and sharing fantastic historical stories, and video updates on her progress. She strikes a perfect balance – never in your face. You never feel your feed is being bombarded.

Emily is always a joy to follow; always replying to her fanbase. There really is not a finer example I could think of, and I am including even the mighty Lewis Hamilton in this consideration. She has bolstered interest in Ginetta and the BTCC as a whole this season. She is an absolute ambassador to the sport.

Her recent race in F4 only further shows her ability to adapt to the car given, and the track presented at the shortest of notice. She takes the opportunity and runs with it. I can only hope for her every success for the future and consider her a star in the making if not already.

Emily joins the Crew of The AV Life for her first episode of 2019 this coming week – make sure you catch it!
