Mimo Monitors, the company that states “We Believe In Touchscreens With Human Touch” launched new products along with making partnership announcements at InfoComm 2018.

The company launched the new Mimo Monitors HDMI Capture Card, a standardized AV solution perfect for conference rooms, live streaming, and more.

Intended to eliminate visual clutter, the device requires no external power, cutting back on the need for extraneous cords and allowing it to blend in or be easily hidden in the setup. Ideal for video conferencing, live streaming and more, this flexible HDMI Capture Card is small in size, making it simple to move or travel with.

The HDMI Capture Card has no drivers to install and leverages the capabilities already built into current software. As the device is compatible with most third-party software, just plug in and play in Windows, Mac OS X, Linux, and Chrome.

The company announced a partnership in digital signage with Tanvas Technology, a company which utilizes haptics and touchscreen technology to allow customers to feel texture through the screen, cultivating a rich and powerful experience. TanvasTouch technology— invented by haptics pioneers Ed Colgate and Michael Peshkin in the Neuroscience and Robotics Lab at Northwestern University—utilizes electrostatics to control friction and create a virtual touchable canvas. Ranging from distinguishing edges, clicks and collisions, to textures such as smooth, bumpy, or soft, the groundbreaking technology allows customers to feel what they see for the first time. Mimo Monitors is bringing a solution to market that utilizes haptics and allows customers to feel texture through the screen.

Mimo Monitors has also announced a partnership with digital signage media innovation leader Brightsign to create an all-encompassing digital signage solution that works right out of the box. With this partnership, you get the screen and media player as one, making it easy to deploy and scale.

Together, Mimo Monitors and Brightsign introduced the Mimo Vue with BrightSign Built-In at InfoComm, and this strong partnership brings to the market a comprehensive product that leverages what each of the companies does best. The innovative, intuitive display will come equipped with BrightSign’s high-performance platform – just take it out of the box, and it’s ready to go.

For digital signage users, this new entry into the market offers users a complete, seamless integration of touchscreen and media player.
