Join the Crew: host Corey Moss, Katye McGregor Bennett, Alan Brawn, Justin Rexing and Jen Cole as they welcome their guests on this first year anniversary show:

Bill Nattress – Director of Channel Strategy – Paging at Biamp

Marika Aquino – Managing Partner at Tier PM

Taylor Meyer – Mechanical Engineering student and robotics expert at Iowa State University (and former Crew member!)

Bill, Marika and Taylor in-podcast

On this first anniversary episode (it all began Nov. 11th 2016), Corey starts off talking about how he’s been podcasting since late 2014 (cAValry Rides, AV Power Up and The AV Life) with some of the best people in the industry – of course including those who are current Crew members. Katye has been with Corey since Jan. 2016 and they talk a little about that as well as how they met on social media and at InfoComm. After Corey introduces the guests, our representative for ‘The AV Life’ Alan Brawn talks about just that, and what the industry means to him.

Taylor begins talking about her “AV experiences” and some of the people she’s met, Bill talks about Taylor and her background where possibilities in AV exist, and then Justin talks about Bill and his first experience meeting him. Marika talks about her background as an IT project manager (working for IBM) and then her transition to AV. Corey talks about a memorable moment at InfoComm interviewing Bill and Ron Camden, where they talked about their beginnings in AV, and Bill, Alan, Justin and Katye talk about their beginnings as well as “careers” in AV.

Just like in the first show episode, all on this one get to guess what the L stands for in L. William Nattress’ name. For any of those out there who don’t yet know, you’ll hear it all here.

At the halfway Marika reads the Tier PM Hot Jobs, then all talk about beers and other beverages they brought to the show. After that Jen does the “Social Media Minute” talking about Twitter and the 280 character discussion, and all join in.

Well, maybe except for Bill, and that leads to a final discussion with him, Justin and Alan including articles written by Justin (The State of the AV Industry: Adapt or Die) and Alan (Crystal Ball: The AV Industry Over the Next 3 Years) – Marika and Corey join in on it too. The result is an excellent AV and IT discussion.

We’ve been bringing the tech, humor, beers, social media and more for a year now, and we’ll be looking to bring much more ahead, with great guests like the ones on this show (and as Corey and Katye agree on every show).

Sit back, plug in and join us for the show that celebrates life in this great industry — as we all live…
