Welcome to the third episode of EdTech Focus, a podcast which looks at education technology, along with discussions in, and even outside of the audio visual industry.
Gina talks with Corey about the Higher Education Technology Summit taking place May 4th at the DoubleTree Hilton, Philadephia Center City in Philadephia, PA – an event which provides a cost-free venue for educational technology managers to gather for a day of:
- Product training with CTS RUs provided by quality-focused AV manufacturers including Biamp, Christie, FSR, and Quam (co-sponsors of the Summit)
- Peer-to-peer panel discussion focusing on the challenges and successes of faculty buy-in, pedagogical modification and student success evaluation for technology enriched classroom and public spaces
- Networking that gives attendees the ability to discuss experiences, installations, and solutions with their contemporaries
- There is of course some fun (and food) and yes, it is May the 4th and they will have “on theme” activities and a door prize for all of the Star Wars fans — costumes are optional, but encouraged.
Here is more information about the event on Eventbrite.
There is also a bit of discussion toward the end of what’s to come from FSR at InfoComm (sorry no secrets revealed…).
Note: This podcast was recorded on March 31.
